Silchar: Two one-act plays will be staged this Sunday, July 27, at the Banga Bhawan Auditorium in Silchar, as part of the “Drama of the Month” series organised by the Barak Upatyaka Banga Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan, Cachar District Committee. The plays will be presented by Rupam, one of the oldest and most respected socio-cultural and sports organisations in the Barak Valley.

The evening’s line-up includes “Pronoy Bibhrat”, penned by Subrata Mukhopadhyay, and “Godhuli Logno”, written by Apurba Kumar Dey. Both plays will be directed by noted theatre personality Ashish Bhowmik, a veteran actor, playwright and director from the region. The programme will commence at 6:30 PM. Organisers have requested attendees to be seated at least ten minutes prior to the start of the performance to ensure a seamless viewing experience.

Rupam General Secretary Nikhil Paul extended an open invitation to the people of Silchar, especially lovers of theatre and culture, to be part of the event. He expressed hope that the plays would resonate with the audience and be successfully staged. Paul also appealed for the cooperation of all attendees in ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme.
