Silchar: Dr. Apratim Nag has officially taken charge as the new Principal of Cachar College, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey. A formal ceremony was held on Wednesday at the college premises to mark the occasion.

Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty personally met Dr. Nag during the event and congratulated him on his appointment. “I am confident the college will grow and flourish under his capable leadership,” the MLA stated, expressing hope for a new era of progress and excellence at the college.

The programme saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including Additional District Commissioner Antara Sen, President of the Governing Body Prof. Parthankar Choudhury, and Jayanta Bhattacharjee from the College Development Council of Assam University.

Also in attendance were prominent faculty members and well-wishers such as Deepshikha Sen, Dr. Chandan Dey, Abhijit Roy, Buddhadeb Choudhury, and Satadal Bhattacharjee, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
