Silchar: In a bid to restore normalcy in academic schedules, the Inspector of Schools, Cachar District Circle (CDC), Silchar, has directed all schools under its jurisdiction to resume the official timings as per the academic calendar from August 1, 2025.

The directive, issued on Thursday by G. Harijan, AES-I, Inspector of Schools-cum-District Elementary Education Officer, Cachar, applies to all categories of schools—Lower Primary (LP), Middle English (ME), High, Higher Secondary, and Non-Government institutions.

This latest order revokes the earlier directive dated June 10, which now stands cancelled with immediate effect. All Heads of Institutions have been instructed to strictly adhere to the updated schedule. The move is part of the administration’s broader efforts to standardise school operations and ensure uniformity in academic functioning across the district.

Education officials expressed optimism that the decision would help restore consistency in teaching hours and support the smooth progress of the academic year.
