Silchar: The Silchar District Sports Association (DSA) has officially announced its 24-member squad for the prestigious JK Baruah U-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2025. The tournament, organised under the aegis of the Assam Cricket Association, will be held in Karbi Anglong (Diphu) from August 7 to 9.

Hritwik Dhar has been named captain of the squad, with Aniket Basfor appointed as vice-captain. “This squad is a fine blend of emerging talent from across the district. We’re confident they will make Silchar proud in this important inter-district event,” said Niranjan Das, secretary of the DSA cricket branch.

The selected players are: Hritwik Dhar (Captain), Aniket Basfor (Vice-Captain), Vivek Sinha, Biplab Sinha, Sabir Ahmed, Ayush Dutta, Rohit Dhobi, Marius Dhikhar, Debojit Das, Bishal Nag, Nayan Chakraborty (Wicketkeeper), Deep Singh, Pinak Das, Anurag Sinha, Jyoti Aditya Deb, Bishal Kumar, Joyjyoti Biswas, Rishu Yadav, Aminul Laskar, Ariyan Meheraj, Rohan Kumar Dam, Sujan Chowhan, Tarun Sinha, and Debarshree Sengupta.

The team will be mentored by coach Masarob Hussain Laskar, with Debabrata Paul joining as support staff.
