Assam University Scholars Win National Honour for Research on District Development

New Delhi: Dr. Nilanjana Chakrabarty and Dr. Juthika Konwar, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration at Assam University, have been awarded the prestigious T. N. Chaturvedi Award for the best article published in the Indian Journal of Public Administration (IJPA) for the year 2024.

The award was presented by the Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, during the Annual General Meeting of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) held in New Delhi.

Dr. Chakrabarty and Dr. Konwar received a memento and certificate each for their paper titled “An Examination of Socio-Economic Well-Being in Aspirational and Non-Aspirational Districts of Assam: A Comparative Analysis of their Performance.”

Published in the October–December 2024 edition of the IJPA (brought out by Sage), the study offers a critical comparative analysis of development indicators across Assam’s districts, highlighting disparities and policy implications.
