Imphal Guwahati, a 40 minute flight, a flight distance of barely 274 km, is around Rs 17k-18k while Guwahati Delhi, a flight distance of 1450 km, flight time of 2.30 to 3 hrs is around Rs 7k-8k! This is nothing but daylight robbery committed upon the tragedy stricken people of Manipur! I had raised this issue way back in February. Just as it refuses to carry out its duty to ensure people’s access to the highways, the Govt of India remains a mute spectator to this loot.
