Silchar: Amitesh Chakraborty has been appointed in-charge of the BJP Yuva Morcha’s Sribhumi district unit, a decision party leaders say reflects his steady involvement and organisational work over the years. Chakraborty earlier worked with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and later served as president of the BJP Yuva Morcha Cachar district committee, taking on several responsibilities within the party structure.

According to party sources, his experience, organisational skill and strong connection with young workers made him a natural choice for the role. State leaders believe his presence will energise the district unit and help build greater coordination within the youth wing.

Supporters expect the organisation to take on a more visible and community-focused role under his guidance. They also point to his clarity of purpose and say he is well placed to take the party’s message and the Prime Minister’s development priorities to the grassroots.

Chakraborty described the appointment as both an honour and a reminder of the responsibility that comes with it. He said his focus will be on reaching out to young people and strengthening the organisational values of the Yuva Morcha. News of his new role drew enthusiastic reactions from workers across Sribhumi and nearby areas.
