Lakhipur: An organisational meeting of the BJP Tea Morcha, Binnakandi Mandal, under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency, was held on Thursday at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan in Binnakandi.

Assam minister Kaushik Rai attended the meeting and interacted with party workers. The programme focused on strengthening the organisational structure of the Tea Morcha and discussed future activities at the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by Tea Morcha Mandal president Mahendra Das, BJP district vice president Sanjay Kumar Thakur, Mandal president Barun Singh, Zilla Parishad member Seema Deb, member Kishan Rikiyasan, and Anchalik Panchayat president Lachit Singh, among others.

Party leaders highlighted the importance of unity and active participation of tea garden workers in the organisation. They also stressed on effective coordination to reach out to people at the booth level and address local issues.

The meeting concluded with a call to work collectively for the growth of the party in the Lakhipur area.
