Nagaland: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday launched the JSW Women-Centric BPO, a new project aimed at creating jobs and skill support for women in the state.The centre has been set up under JSW Shakti in partnership with the Investments and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).
Speaking at the event, Rio said the state has been working to support women through business, training, and digital access so they can find stable and respectful work.He said the new BPO gives young women a modern work space where they can learn, grow, and become financially independent.
Rio also thanked Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of the JSW Foundation, for extending the Foundation’s social work to Nagaland. He expressed hope that she would visit the state soon.The project focuses on training and jobs for underprivileged women by combining skills, technology, and employment support.
Rio praised IDAN, led by Abumetha, for pushing investment and innovation in Nagaland and helping build Brand Nagaland through partnerships.He said the initiative will create jobs and inspire youth to use new opportunities, while assuring full support from the state government.
