Silchar: A fund distribution programme under the Assam Government’s women welfare scheme Orunodoi 3.0 was held on Tuesday in Ward No. 9 under the Silchar Municipal Corporation.

The event took place at the Madhya Malugram Puja Mandap premises and was attended by hundreds of women beneficiaries from the area, which falls under the Udharbond Assembly constituency, along with local residents.

BJP leader Bijendra Prasad Singh was present at the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of the Orunodoi scheme and said that the initiative has been providing financial assistance to a large number of women across the state, helping bring positive changes to their daily lives.

During the event, funds under Orunodoi 3.0 were distributed among the beneficiaries, and various aspects of the scheme were discussed. Local women expressed their gratitude to the state government for the initiative.
