Aizawl: The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) will announce the results of the Class 10 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination on April 23, bringing relief and anticipation for thousands of students across the state.

Students and parents can check the results through multiple official platforms to ensure easy access. The results will be published on the board’s official website as well as the MBSE Online portal. For those preferring offline access, printed result sheets will be made available at the MBSE office in Chaltlang, Aizawl, and at the board’s regional office in Lunglei.

In a significant policy shift, School Education Minister Vanlalthlana had earlier announced that the board will discontinue the publication of merit lists starting this year. This includes scrapping the Top-10 rankings, as well as distinctions and divisions in the result documents.

The move is aimed at reducing unhealthy competition among students and promoting a more inclusive evaluation system, officials said.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions among students and educators, with some welcoming the change while others expressing concern over the absence of traditional performance benchmarks.
