Guwahati: Dispur Police have arrested five youths from Nagaland for allegedly assaulting an Assamese youth in the Ganeshguri area of Guwahati on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Simu Das, a resident of Pathsala, was allegedly attacked and beaten in a public place. According to sources, the accused also threatened to shoot him during the altercation, causing panic among bystanders in the busy locality.

Following the incident, Dispur Police launched an investigation and swiftly apprehended all five accused persons. The identities of the arrested individuals have not yet been officially disclosed.
Police officials stated that the exact motive behind the assault is yet to be ascertained. Investigators are examining the circumstances that led to the incident and are collecting evidence from the scene.
