Diphu : As part of the nationwide celebration of “12 Years of Trust, Development & Public Welfare,” the District Administration of Karbi Anglong will organize Jan Kalyan Shivirs across all Development Blocks of the district from June 18 to June 20, 2026, beginning at 10:30 AM each day.
The initiative is aimed at enhancing public awareness about various flagship welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, ensuring on-the-spot delivery of eligible services, and addressing grievances of citizens through coordinated efforts of different government departments.
According to the district administration, the block-level camps will feature the screening of documentaries highlighting the achievements of the Government of India and the Government of Assam towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 and Viksit Assam.
The program will also include distribution of sanction letters and beneficiary cards under various schemes, besides honoring outstanding citizens and successful beneficiaries who have emerged as champions of government initiatives.
The first phase of the Jan Kalyan Shivirs will commence on June 18 at multiple locations across the district.
At the Mini Stadium, Bakalia, under Langsomepi Development Block, Madhuram Lekthe, Executive Member of KAAC, will grace the event as Chief Guest, while Kangbura Killing, Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), will attend as Guest of Honor.
The program at Okereng Mini Stadium under Howraghat Development Block will be attended by Lunsing Teron, MLA of Howraghat constituency, as Chief Guest. Ritesh Enghi, Executive Member of KAAC, will be present as Guest of Honor.
Similarly, at the Dillai Sports Complex under Bokajan Development Block, Surjya Rongphar, MLA of Bokajan constituency, will attend as Chief Guest. Madhurjya Dhekial Phukan, Executive Member of KAAC, will participate as an invited guest.

At the Rongmongve Development Block Headquarters, Kache Rongpi, Executive Member of KAAC, will attend as Chief Guest, while Richard Tokbi, Executive Member of KAAC, will be the Guest of Honor.
Meanwhile, the Jan Kalyan Shivir at the Multi Utility Building located within the Nilip Development Block Office Campus will be attended by Pabitra Rongpi, MAC, KAAC, as the Chief Guest.
District officials stated that the Jan Kalyan Shivirs are expected to strengthen citizen-government engagement and ensure wider outreach of welfare schemes among rural and urban beneficiaries across Karbi Anglong.
