New Delhi: Delhi Police has dismissed the claim made by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) that a “mystery truck” loaded with stones was deliberately parked near Jantar Mantar to frame peaceful protesters during the July 20 “Chalo Sansad” march.

According to the police, the truck had been seized following a road accident on July 16 that injured six people. As part of the investigation, the vehicle was kept near Parliament Street Police Station because of a lack of storage space. Police said the stones were later unloaded and the truck was shifted before the July 20 protest.

However, the clarification has not ended the controversy. Videos circulating on social media have raised fresh questions about how people were able to access the seized vehicle and handle the stones while it was still under police custody. The footage has triggered online debate, with many users questioning the security arrangements surrounding the seized truck.

While Delhi Police maintains that there was no conspiracy behind the vehicle’s presence, the viral videos continue to fuel public discussion over the incident.
