Kohima: The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has congratulated its president, Watinuksung Jamir, on his appointment as the Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming India Tour of Sri Lanka Test Series 2026.

The Indian team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for a Test series from August 7 to August 27, 2026.

The NCA described the appointment as a proud moment for Nagaland and the state’s cricketing fraternity. It said Jamir’s selection for the important responsibility recognises his leadership, experience and contribution to the development and promotion of cricket in Nagaland.

The association said his presence with the Indian team on an international tour marks a significant milestone in his professional journey and is also an important achievement for Nagaland cricket. According to the NCA, the appointment reflects the growing recognition of Nagaland and its cricket administrators at the national level.

The association wished Jamir success in his new responsibility and expressed hope that he would represent Nagaland with distinction on the international stage. “Congratulations, Watinuksung Jamir, and best wishes for the India Tour of Sri Lanka 2026,” the NCA said.
