Junior Executive (E-1 Level)

  • Open to Freshers: Yes, no prior work experience is required for most Junior Executive roles.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 27 years (applicable relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories).
  • Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (Approximate CTC: ₹14 LPA).
  • Key Disciplines: Operations (B.E./B.Tech or B.Sc + MBA), Finance (MBA Finance / CA / CMA / CFA), Law (LLB), Survey & Cartography.

Manager (E-3 Level)

  • Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification relevant executive/supervisory experience.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 32 years.
  • Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (Approximate CTC: ₹21 LPA).
  • Key Disciplines: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Fire Services, Operations, IT, Architecture, Commercial, and Law.

1. Direct Pan-India CBT Recruitment: Conducted directly by AAI for Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control, Operations, Law) and Managerial cadres.

2. GATE-Based Recruitment: Periodically conducted for engineering posts including Junior Executive (Civil, Electrical, Electronics, and Architecture).

3. Apprenticeship & Regional Drives: Organised regionally for Graduate/Trade Apprentices and Non-Executive positions across Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western, and North-Eastern regions.

Manager Examination Structure

• Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)   |   • Total Marks: 120   |   • Negative Marking: Nil
• Split: Part A (General Aptitude – 30%) + Part B (Professional Domain Knowledge – 70%)

Part A: General Aptitude (30% Weightage)

  • Reasoning: Analytical reasoning, data sufficiency, logical puzzles, critical thinking.
  • Quantitative Ability: Arithmetic, algebra, time-work, DI graphs, and statistics.
  • English Language: Business communication, grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction.
  • General Awareness: Civil aviation rules, AAI history/structure, current affairs, static GK.

Part B: Professional Domain Knowledge (70% Weightage)

  • Manager (Operations): Aerodrome standards, ICAO Annexes, Airside & Terminal Management, Aircraft Act 1934 & Rules 1937, Runway Safety, Navigation Aids (ILS, DVOR, NDB), Slot Allocation.
  • Manager (Civil / Electrical): Structural Analysis, Concrete Technology, Geotechnical Engineering, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Switchgear & Protection, Network Theory.
  • Manager (IT / Electronics): Data Structures, Algorithms, DBMS, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Radar & Satellite Communication, Signal Processing.
  • Manager (Finance / HR): Corporate Accounting, Auditing, Direct/Indirect Taxation, Financial Management, Industrial Relations, Labor Laws, and Organizational Behavior.
