Be that Meitei or Kuki or Naga or any damn community, it’s a criminal act to kill innocent civilians. That it’s done right under the nose of the Indian State is nothing short of vastraharan of “Bharat Mata”!
But all along, Modi and Amit Shah have been acting like Dhritarashtra and Duryodhana as “Bharat Mata” gets assaulted! Or is it that “adungeigi Kangleipak Manipur natte”?
It’s already gone too far. But better late than never, state must assert its authority and rein in the violence and culprits must be brought to justice.
There’s a need to review and change the paradigm that guides counter insurgency, of which SoO or ceasefire are crucial aspects, in the state. Stop using militia and armed groups as a state policy.
