Kohima | Mhayibeni Gifty Jami has become the first Naga to represent India in the Intellectual Strategy Games at the sixth World Nomad Games.
Jami is competing in Toguz Korgool, a traditional strategy board game, alongside participants from several countries. Her participation marks a significant milestone for Nagaland and adds another achievement to the state’s sporting journey.
Congratulating Jami on the accomplishment, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton praised her dedication, discipline and skills.
Patton said Jami’s achievement could inspire more young people from Nagaland to pursue their talents and compete at national and international platforms. He wished Jami continued success and hoped she would achieve greater milestones in the years ahead.
