Imphal :  CRPF Director General G P Singh on Tuesday reviewed the force’s operational preparedness in Manipur and stressed the need for a swift response to emerging security situations, the force said.

Singh chaired a high-level meeting at the M&N Sector headquarters here during his two-day visit to the state.

The meeting focused on strengthening ground-level preparedness and ensuring a rapid response to any emerging situation, the CRPF said in a post on social media.

Singh emphasised “zero tolerance towards violence and rapid peace restoration” in Manipur and complimented personnel for their “adequate and appropriate response” during recent developments, it said.

The CRPF chief also stressed maximising the use of force multipliers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.

Earlier, Singh, accompanied by senior officials, laid the foundation stones for a Transit Officers’ Mess and a Strategic Operations Conference (SOC) Hall at the CRPF Group Centre in Imphal.

Singh’s visit comes as security forces continue to maintain a strong presence in Manipur amid efforts to restore peace and stability in the violence-affected state.
