NEW DELHI: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Kunal Ghosh on Friday questioned the heavy deployment of police and paramilitary personnel to manage protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Delhi.
Drawing a comparison with Manipur, Ghosh asked why a similar level of security deployment was not seen during the prolonged ethnic conflict in the northeastern state.
