One Dildar Husain of mid-thirties a resident of Dimapur city of Nagaland and has been recognized as the son of Noor Islam and an auto-rickshaw driver by profession was arrested by Bokajan police yesterday for attempting to rape a young women passenger.

The victim, a resident of Dilaujan village bordering Nagaland hired the rickshaw from Dillai to reach her village, the accused Dildar Husain finding the lone woman passenger cogently drove the vehicle to a densely forested area by the side of the highway.

Paying no attention to the vigorous protest of the women passenger Dildar attempted to rape the woman but the victim somehow managed to escape from the clutch of the molester and fled away from the place of incident.

Fortunately, the woman came across some passerby who instantaneously came to her rescue and caught the scalawag before he could escape with his auto-rickshaw, after overpowering him they handover Dildar to the police.
