145 Memorandums Submitted in Support

SILCHAR : The public hearing conducted by the Pollution Control Board regarding the proposed Greenfield Airport at Doloo Tea Estate was completed smoothly on Monday.
The proposed Greenfield Airport at Doloo Tea Estate has been the subject of much debate. Today, a public hearing was held at the site on environmental, forest, and climate concerns related to the airport project. During the hearing, around 150 memorandums from various organizations were submitted to the District Magistrate, of which 145 supported the establishment of the airport.
More than 50 individuals representing different groups and organizations were present at the hearing, and nearly 95% of the respondents spoke in favor of the project.
Cachar District Magistrate Mridul Yadav and officials from the Pollution Control Board were in attendance. Strict security arrangements were in place under the supervision of Cachar Superintendent of Police, Numal Mahatta.
