Biswadeep Gupta Calls for Unity Through the Northeast Integration Rally 2026
KRC TIMES NE Desk
“Come, experience the heartbeat of the Northeast.” With these words, Biswadeep Gupta, Founder of the Northeast Integration Rally 2026, invites people across India to discover the region’s breathtaking landscapes, diverse cultures, and enduring spirit of unity.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the rally, Gupta shared a deeply personal memory from his childhood. Recalling a journey with his younger brother from Shillong to Dimapur three decades ago, he said, “My brother once asked me, ‘Dada, why do people go to Switzerland? This is Switzerland. This is the Northeast.’ Those words have stayed with me ever since — they echo in our hearts even today.”
For Gupta, the rally is more than an event — it’s a movement to rediscover and reconnect with the Northeast. He believes that the best way to explore the region is by road, where every turn reveals its natural beauty and human warmth. “We have far better roads today than we did 30 years ago,” he said. “But what matters most is understanding the culture, humility, and enormous potential of the people of the Northeast.”
Gupta emphasized that the region’s potential lies not only in its rich flora and fauna but also in its human resource and strategic geography, which can play a transformative role in India’s growth story. However, he noted that this potential can only be realized through peace, progress, and prosperity.
“The most important part of our journey as a region is peaceful coexistence,” he said. “That is why the Northeast is so crucial — it’s a power hub for many things in the decades to come.”
The Northeast Integration Rally 2026 aims to celebrate that spirit of unity and adventure. It invites participants from across India and beyond to join a road journey that showcases the beauty, diversity, and promise of the region.
