The Puja will continue its tradition of blending artistic innovation with Sanatani spiritual values

Silchar : The Apanjan Sarbojonin Durga Puja Committee of Shankar Dighirpar, Bilpar, is all set to mark its 8th year of celebrations with a magnificent and culturally rich theme inspired by Rajasthan’s majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Announcing the plans, members of the committee revealed that this year’s pandal will replicate the grandeur of the iconic palace, promising visitors a visual and spiritual treat. The Puja will be inaugurated on Tritiya, the third day of Navratri.
Committee advisor Biswajit Dutta Choudhury shared that the Puja will continue its tradition of blending artistic innovation with Sanatani spiritual values. “This year, we aim to surprise devotees with a splendidly designed pandal, vibrant lighting, and a beautifully sculpted idol. Over the years, Apanjan Puja has grown into a cherished celebration that unites our locality,” he remarked.
Secretary Ranjan Roy added that meticulous planning is underway to ensure the celebration remains deeply rooted in traditional rituals and aesthetics. “Our objective is to bring joy and devotion to the community while paying tribute to our cultural heritage,” he said.
The organizing team also includes president Parimal Paul, treasurer Nabendu Paul, along with Nantu Paul, Pranabashish Kar, Mithun Paul, Sumit Paul, Raju Paul, and Tuhin Paul—who are collectively working to make this year’s Puja a memorable experience for all.
