Silchar: In a key organisational move, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has carried out a significant reshuffle, appointing new district presidents in several important regions of the state.

According to the official notification issued by the APCC, Sajal Acharjee has been appointed as the new president of the Cachar District Congress Committee. Tapash Purkayastha has taken charge as president of the Sribhumi District Congress, while Ishaque Ali Barbhuiya has been entrusted with the leadership of the Hailakandi District Congress Committee.

The reshuffle is seen as part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its grassroots presence and bring renewed energy to its organisational framework ahead of future electoral challenges.
