Assam Rifles, Coast Guard Flag Off Joint Bike Rally to Boost Inter-Service Bond

Shillong: Assam Rifles, along with the Indian Coast Guard, flagged off a joint bike rally from the Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles (HQ DGAR) at Laitkor, Shillong, on Monday.

The rally is being held in two phases. Phase I covered the route from Haldia to Shillong. Phase II was flagged off from Shillong by Brigadier Sandip Chatterjee, SM, and will travel up to Pangsau Pass in south Arunachal Pradesh.

Officials said the joint initiative is aimed at strengthening coordination between the two forces. It also seeks to promote national integration and highlight a shared commitment to service and duty.

The rally will pass through several regions, interacting with local communities and spreading the message of unity, cooperation and national service.
