Silchar: SHoDH, Assam University, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics, is organising a one-day workshop titled “Numbers to Knowledge” on August 7. Focused on practical training in data analysis using SPSS, the workshop is aimed at research scholars and postgraduate students seeking to enhance their statistical skills for academic and applied research.

The workshop will take place at the Department of Statistics from 10 AM to 4 PM, featuring two prominent resource persons—Prof. Dibyojyoti Bhattacharjee from the Department of Statistics, and Dr. Kingshuk Adhikari, Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce, Assam University.

Participants will engage in a series of hands-on sessions covering essential modules such as data entry and descriptive analysis, SPSS-based data visualization, and hypothesis testing techniques including ANOVA. The programme is designed to provide a solid foundation in the use of SPSS software for effective data interpretation and research methodology.

Convenor Joy Deb of SHoDH expressed optimism that the workshop will equip participants with critical tools for quality research.
