Silchar : On the occasion of its fifth anniversary, Bahnisikha Academy, Silchar, organised various programmes on Sunday. The celebration began at the Gandhi Bhavan with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

This was followed by performances of Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and dance presentations by members of the organising institution as well as participants from other academies. Two eminent personalities from the region were felicitated with Gunijan Sanman during the event.

The organisers expressed their hope to hold the celebrations on a larger scale in the future with the cooperation and blessings of all.

Social worker Swarnali Choudhury, Dr. Sahin Ahmed Barbhuiya, Alif Uddin Talukdar, Manoranjan Malakar, Navaneeta Dey, Deepika Roy, Sanchali Bhattacharjee, Deeptangon Goswami, Monojit Das, and Momita Roy, among others, were present on the occasion.
