Silchar: Barak Valley is gearing up to accord a grand welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit the region on March 14. Ahead of the visit, Assam Minister Kaushik Rai on Thursday held a meeting with volunteers associated with the Prime Minister’s programme to review preparations and ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

The meeting was held at Budhrail on the Silchar Bypass and was attended by Dipayan Chakraborty, along with several organisers and volunteers involved in coordinating the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai said people of Barak Valley are eagerly looking forward to the Prime Minister’s visit, which is expected to mark a significant moment for the region.

He also expressed confidence that under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the visit would open a new chapter of development for Barak Valley. Officials and volunteers are working to ensure the programme at Budhrail, Silchar Bypass, is conducted smoothly and successfully.
