Silchar: Marking the second Monday of the holy month of Shravan, the Developers Club of Meherpur, Silchar, organized a bhandara (community feast) at the Shiv Bari temple premises. As in previous years, the club members distributed khichdi prasad among devotees and passers-by, fostering an atmosphere of devotion and community service.
The occasion drew participation from numerous devotees who gathered to offer prayers and partake in the sacred offering. Cachar District Yuva Morcha Vice-President Shiva Dev, present at the event, expressed his joy and gratitude. “On this pious day dedicated to Lord Mahadev, we, through the Developers Club, have taken a small step to serve the devotees.
Being part of this brings me immense peace and happiness,” he said. He further appreciated the spirit of devotion and unity among the club members and hoped that with the blessings of Lord Shiva, this bond would grow stronger and continue to bring prosperity to all.
Ashwini Sinha, head of the BJP Meherpur Shakti Kendra, lauded the initiative and thanked the Developers Club for organizing the bhandara with such dedication. “It is heartening to see the club members uphold religious values and offer selfless service to the community. I am confident they will continue such noble efforts in the future as well,” he added.
The event was successfully conducted with the support and cooperation of several individuals, including Pandit Aditya Jha, Developers Club Vice-President Pranesh Dey, Shivam Dev, Rahul Chakraborty, Rupam Das, Bachchu Das, Dharmendra Singh, Sagar Pal, Arvind Singh, Arun Kumar, Rajendra Prasad Goala, Roshan Pal, and Bikki Pal, among others.
The bhandara not only offered spiritual nourishment but also reflected the collective spirit of service and devotion that the month of Shravan inspires.
