Guwahati : The Bharatiya Janata Party wrapped up its Zonal Training Programme for Trainers of the North East at Padma Bhawan in Guwahati on Monday. The event brought together senior leaders and key functionaries from across the region.

Among those present were National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, National Joint General Secretary (Organisation) Shivprakash, Joint General Secretary (Organisation) V. Satish, MP Shashak Mani Tripathi, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, and National Spokesperson Guru Prakash.

The programme focused on strengthening the party’s organisational base, sharpening ideological clarity, and ensuring disciplined expansion. Leaders resolved to roll out structured training programmes from booth level to national level across the country by April 2026. These will cover party functionaries, public representatives, and newly inducted members.

A 15 member team from BJP Manipur Pradesh also took part in the training. The delegation was led by State President A. Sharda Devi and included MLA Th. Biswajit Singh, MLA Dipu Gangmei, General Secretary (Organisation) Premananda Sharma, Senior Spokesperson M. Asnikumar Singh, and General Secretaries P. Premananda Meetei and K. Saratkumar Singh.

Speaking after the programme, M. Asnikumar Singh said the sessions were both inspiring and informative. He noted that the discussions gave deeper insight into the party’s guiding values and shared responsibilities. He stressed the relevance of Integral Humanism, the philosophy propounded by Deendayal Upadhyaya, and pointed to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a driving force behind the rapid changes taking place in the North East.

Singh also expressed confidence about the party’s prospects in the coming elections in Assam and West Bengal, saying people are looking for development which, he added, the BJP is committed to delivering.

MPs, ministers, MLAs, and senior leaders from different North Eastern states attended the training programme.
