Kalain: The Kalain Mandal Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the Cachar District Committee, convened its executive meeting on Saturday, focusing on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and celebrating recent organizational achievements.

Presided over by Mandal President Nitya Gopal Das, the meeting witnessed the presence of several key BJP leaders, including Cachar District General Secretary Gopal Roy, former MLA Amar Chand Jain, Katigorah Constituency Prabhari Abhrajit Chakraborty, and Scheduled Caste Morcha President Nibash Das. Also in attendance were Shakti Kendra in-charges, booth presidents, senior officials, party workers, and active members of the Mandal unit.

Bijendra Prasad Singh said that the highlight of the meeting was the felicitation of Kanad Purkayastha, the newly elected Rajya Sabha MP from Assam. Along with him, regional representatives from Panchayat, Zila Parishad, and Gram Panchayat bodies were also honored for their contributions to local governance and the party’s progress.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries underscored the significance of organizational unity, grassroots mobilization, and proactive participation to further strengthen the BJP’s presence in the region. The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by party workers to carry forward the vision of the BJP with greater vigor and commitment.
