Silchar: Leaders and members of the BJP Cachar district paid homage to legendary singer Zubeen Garg on Sunday at the party office. District president Rupam Saha, MP Kanad Purkayastha, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, and other officials offered their respects and prayed for the eternal peace of his soul.

Garg, celebrated as the heartbeat of Assam, was remembered for his immense contributions to music and the state’s cultural heritage. Across Silchar, citizens and local organizations also paid tribute, expressing their grief and admiration for the late artist.

His sudden passing has left a deep void in Assam’s cultural scene, but his music and legacy continue to resonate widely.
