Silchar: Assam Police continued its intensified crackdown on drug networks with a major seizure in Cachar district, where police apprehended a woman and recovered 20,000 YABA tablets estimated to be worth Rs 3 crore in the illicit market.

Acting on specific and reliable intelligence, a team of Cachar Police carried out a targeted operation that led to the arrest and seizure. The consignment was allegedly meant for distribution among youths, raising serious concerns about the growing threat of synthetic drugs in the region.
