Silchar: Children’s Day was observed across the country on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. In Silchar, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty joined the celebration at Durga Shankar Pathshala in Ambicapatty, where the students staged a series of performances for the occasion.

He spent time with the children and watched their programme along with the school’s head teacher, president Dilip Roy, Piyush Das, and several others who attended the event. The school marked the day with activities aimed at encouraging student participation and highlighting the significance of Children’s Day.
