Crowd of Yogis gathered at the Chitrakoot Ghat

On International Yoga Day, Sadhaks from 108 Yoga Centres, along with saints, performed group yoga at Surendrapal Gramodaya Vidyalaya Sports Ground, Chitrakoot

Chitrakoot : On the occasion of International Yoga Day, all institutions in Chitrakoot, including the Deendayal Research Institute, Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Gramodaya University, Gayatri Shaktipeeth, along with 108 Yoga Centres and all the Sant Ashrams of Chitrakoot, collectively performed yoga together at the Surendrapal Gramodaya Vidyalay playground on the Deendayal Campus.

Villagers also participated in continuous yoga at all the self-reliance centers and contact centers of Deendayal Shodh Sansthan. On this occasion, revered saint Madan Gopal Das , revered saint Mahant Sitasharan Maharaj, revered saint Divya Jeevan Das , revered saint Govind Das , Director of Gayatri Shakti Peeth Dr. Ramnarayan Tripathi, Pandit Ram Vishal Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Chitrakoot Gramodaya University Prof. Bharat Mishra, Trustee of Janakikund Hospital Padma Shri Dr. BK Jain, Organization Secretary of Deendayal Shodh Sansthan Abhay Mahajan, Treasurer Vasant Pandit graced the stage on the occasion of Yoga Day.

Coordinator of the yoga program, Surendra Paul Gramodaya Vidyalaya Principal Madan Kumar Tiwari, presented the outline of the yoga program. While a retired professor of Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Professor Tushar Kant Shastri not only gave three-day training to the students but also successfully directed the entire program.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Dr. Bharat Mishra explained the importance of yoga and invoked the basic mantra of “walk together, grow together”. Remembering Bharat Ratna Rashtra Rishi Nanaji Deshmukh ji, he talked about realising his vision of a healthy Chitrakoot through yoga.

Padma Shri Dr. B.K. Jain gave the credit for this successful event to the organisation secretary of Deendayal Shodh Sansthan, Abhay Mahajan. He also sent his best wishes for the success of the Nirmal Aviral Maa Mandakini Ganga movement of Deendayal Shodh Sansthan.

Abhay Mahajan, the organisation secretary of Deendayal Research Institute, said that this time, a seven-day training was conducted at 108 centers through workers and cluster in-charges and more than 200 trainers.

Through this Yoga Day program, the entire Chitrakoot gathered at one place as a unit and realised the collective feeling that we are all one. It is expected of all of us that we should incorporate this into our lives.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a massive mass program was organised on 21 June at Surendra Paul Gramodaya Vidyalaya Khel Ground, Deendayal Campus. The gathering was held at 5:45 am. After that, all the yoga activities were performed from 6:00 am to 7:00 am. During this mass program, yoga practitioners from all the 108 yoga centers running in Chitrakoot area since 14 June participated in this mass program, during which the total number of participants was around 1300.
