Top Winners to Receive Special Invitations to I-Day Celebrations

Silchar: In the lead-up to Independence Day 2025, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov and All India Radio, has announced a series of online creative contests aimed at igniting patriotic spirit and encouraging citizen participation in celebrating the nation’s journey.
The initiative includes three major competitions hosted on the MyGov portal: An essay contest on “Operation Sindoor: Redefining India’s Policy Against Terrorism”
A painting competition based on the theme “New India, Empowered India” A reel-making contest titled “Walk to the Monument Sites of Indian Independence” These contests are open to citizens across the country and offer a platform to reflect on India’s progress, honour its heritage, and showcase creativity.
What makes this initiative even more special is the recognition awaiting the top 30 winners—they will receive exclusive e-invitations from the Ministry of Defence to attend the official Independence Day celebrations, making them a part of the nation’s most prestigious annual event.
In a public appeal, the Director of Women & Child Development and State Project Director of POSHAN Abhiyaan, Assam, encouraged widespread participation, highlighting the contests as a meaningful opportunity to pay tribute to India’s legacy and contribute to the vision of a vibrant, self-reliant nation.
