Silchar: Assam BJP President and Member of Parliament from Darrang–Udalguri, Dilip Saikia, has left for New York to represent India at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as part of the Indian delegation.

His inclusion in the delegation is being celebrated across Assam as a moment of pride for the state and the nation. The Government of India’s decision to select Saikia is seen as recognition of his consistent public service, political leadership, and contribution to national development.

Congratulating him, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said Saikia’s participation at the UNGA stands as a reflection of his commitment to public welfare and his ability to represent India’s vision on the global stage. “His unwavering dedication and leadership have always inspired confidence. I’m sure he will effectively convey India’s voice at the United Nations,” Chakraborty said.
