Dholai: The 16th Sanjeev Koiri Smriti Puraskar was awarded to Dr. Amit Kalwar during the Hindi Divas celebration at Dholai. The award, instituted by the Cachar Hindibhasi Chhatra Parishad, is presented every year on September 14 in memory of late Sanjeev Koiri, a former Parishad member who died in a road accident in 2009.
In Dr. Kalwar’s absence, his wife Dr Manjari Kalwar accepted the award from Chief Guest Rajdeep Goala. Guest of Honour and Chief Advisor of the Parishad Sanjeev Roy, along with Lalan Prasad Goala, Ram Kumar Koiri and other dignitaries, were present at the ceremony.
The celebration featured cultural performances by local youth, including dance, song, poetry and drama, and concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.
