Silchar: Assam has added another feather to its cap as Dr. Partha Pradip Adhikari, Principal of Pranabananda International School, Silchar, has been honoured with the National “Best Principal Award 2025-26” by the Indian Talent Olympiad. The award was presented during the National Felicitation Ceremony held at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruha, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

Dr. Adhikari received the national honour in recognition of his outstanding leadership, commitment to academic excellence, and transformative contributions to the education sector. Under his guidance, Pranabananda International School has emerged as a leading institution promoting holistic and values-based education in Barak Valley.

A key milestone under his tenure has been the school’s affiliation with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, up to the ISC level. This achievement makes Pranabananda International School the first CISCE and ISC-affiliated senior secondary school in the entire Barak Valley, setting a new benchmark for quality education in the region.

The felicitation ceremony was graced by two eminent personalities — Dr. Kiran Bedi, India’s first woman IPS officer and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, and Olympic badminton star Saina Nehwal — who jointly honoured the nation’s top educators for their service and dedication.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kiran Bedi lauded the contribution of school leaders like Dr. Adhikari, saying,
