Over his career, he investigated more than 15,000 cases, including thousands of crimes against women and children, and prevented many more crimes.

Beyond policing, Dr Nair has dedicated over four decades to fighting human trafficking. His work began in 1982 when, as SP of Palamu, he personally rescued 133 bonded children. Since then, he has facilitated the rescue of more than 65,000 women and children across India. He continues to travel widely, training officials and NGOs and advocating and implementing stronger anti-trafficking measures.

His presence at the rally will give value addition besides being an inspiration for the campaigners of NEIR 2026. Dr. Nair will be one of the key proponents of the Disaster Management campaign during the event.
