SILCHAR: The District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar, is set to mark the 79th Independence Day on Friday with a blend of patriotic spirit and sporting camaraderie.

Festivities will begin at 7:00 a.m. with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag at the DSA premises by association president Shibabrata Dutta.

In the afternoon, the celebrations will continue on the field with a friendly football match between DC XI and Bar Library XI, promising an engaging contest for sports lovers.

DSA general secretary Atanu Bhattacharjee has extended an open invitation to journalists, members, and the public to participate in the day’s events and share in the patriotic cheer.
