Sribhumi: The District Sports Association (DSA) Sribhumi, along with the cricket fraternity, has extended its sincere thanks to Rajya Sabha MP Kanad Purkayastha for his support towards sports development in the region.

The MP has sanctioned Rs.5 lakh for the improvement of the DSA Sribhumi Field and Rs.15 lakh for the renovation of the old DSA office. Association members said the funds will significantly help in upgrading facilities and creating better opportunities for players.

Looking ahead, the DSA expressed hope that Purkayastha will continue to back such initiatives, fostering the growth of sports and encouraging young talent in the Barak Valley.
