Silchar : The “EARTHLEOS: Advanced Landscape Photography Workshop” was successfully conducted today at Upendra Hall, Assam University, beginning at 11:30 AM. The programme was organised by the Assam University Research Scholars’ Forum in collaboration with the KRC Foundation, KRC Times, Hope for Gems, and Voice of the Needy.

The workshop was led by internationally acclaimed landscape photographer Dibyendu Das, who provided participants with advanced training on composition, lighting, field techniques, aesthetics, and equipment handling.
A practical outdoor session enabled participants to apply their learning, significantly improving their technical and creative skills.
A special highlight of the event was the felicitation of Prof. Arun Jyoti Nath of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science, who was recently recognised among the Top 2% Scientists worldwide by Elsevier 2025.
President of the Research Scholars’ Forum, Sandeep Das, delivered the keynote address. Najima Begum, General Secretary of Voice of the Needy, and Swapnodeep Sen, President of Hope for Gems, also addressed the gathering.
Swapnodeep Sen emphasised the importance of photography and informed attendees about the upcoming North East Integration Rally, to be organised by the KRC Foundation. He also conveyed his gratitude to Biswadeep Gupta, Founder of KRC Foundation, for initiating the programme.
The event, held as part of the pre-celebration of the North East Integration Rally, concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of the Assam University, Authority and all participants for the smooth execution of the workshop.
