Silchar: On Monday, the Lions Club of Silchar Valley View donated essential food items to the residents of the old age home near Shiv Bari, Malugram, as part of a fifteen-day supply drive. The donation included rice, lentils, potatoes, onions, paneer, soybeans, puffed rice, biscuits, milk, and other necessities.

These items were handed over to the authorities of the Rising Youth Society, represented by Pinak Roy and Junoshree Prakash. A delegation of the Lions Club, led by Club President Lion Bandita Trivedi Roy, visited the old age home, spent time with the residents, and exchanged greetings on the occasion of Bijoya Dashami.

The contribution was made by the Club’s Guiding Lion Sanjib Roy, in memory of his late father and former MLA Late Gaurishankar Roy, marking his 45th death anniversary. During the event, Guiding Lion Sanjib Roy, Project Chairperson Minara Laskar, Pushpabati Roy, and Sanjiban Roy were present.
