Silchar: The Ratanpur Colony Sarbojonin Shree Shree Shani Temple Committee, Cachar district, will host a felicitation ceremony on November 22 to honour a local social worker for notable contributions to community welfare. The programme is scheduled at the Ratanpur Colony premises at 2.30 pm.
Committee members said preparations are underway, and residents from different sections of the locality have already shown strong interest in the event. Local leaders, respected citizens, devotees and community members are expected to attend.

Committee president Sajalkanti Das, general secretary Sumendra Chandra Das, vice presidents Shuklal Das and Ramlal Das, treasurer Sushanta Das and other members have invited the public to join the programme. They noted that the event is intended not only to confer an honour but also to promote social upliftment and cultural awareness within the community.
