Lakhipur: In a step towards strengthening community infrastructure in the tea garden areas, the foundation stone for the Baladhan Tea Estate Nachghar was laid on Sunday by Kaushik Rai, MLA of Lakhipur and Minister in the Government of Assam.

The project has been sanctioned with an allocation of Rs 35 lakh and aims to provide a dedicated cultural and social space for the local community of Baladhan Tea Estate.

The ceremony was attended by panchayat representatives and senior party karyakartas, including Bijendra Prasad Singh, along with local residents who welcomed the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, those present expressed hope that the Nachghar would serve as a centre for cultural activities, social gatherings, and community development in the tea estate area.
