Silchar: The Lions Club of Silchar Valley View held a free diabetes detection and counselling camp on Saturday at Ghaniala Club in Malugram, in collaboration with Youths Against Social Evils (YASE), Ghaniala sub-committee.

A total of 75 people were screened by health worker Fayza Yasmin Barbhuiya. Seven were found with high diabetes levels. The Lions Club said it will follow up with each of them to help ensure they receive the required medical care. Club president Bandita Trivedi Roy, project chairperson Pushpabati Roy, and members Subir Dey and Sanjeev Roy were present at the camp.
