Silchar: The Department of Political Science at Gurucharan University observed the 11th Constitution Day on Wednesday at the university’s conference hall. The programme began at 11 a.m. and focused on the values, vision and democratic spirit embedded in the Indian Constitution.

Faculty members, students and research scholars took part in the event, which included reflections on the Constitution’s role in shaping India’s political and social life. Speakers underlined the document’s continuing relevance and urged students to engage more deeply with its principles.

The department said the observance aimed to reinforce constitutional awareness and encourage a more informed citizenry.
