Silchar: The Haipou Jadonang Memorial 11-a-side Knockout Football Tournament 2025, organised by the Kaguiluang Development Society, came to a close on Friday at the Town Club Ground in Silchar. The tournament, held from August 10 to 29, was dedicated to the memory of national freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang.

Speaking as chief guest, former FIFA referee Mrinal Kanti Roy highlighted the role of sports and physical activity in fostering discipline, unity, and all-round development among youth.
The closing ceremony was chaired by society president Silajlong Gonmei, with secretary Lungthourai Kamei also in attendance.
Guests of honour included Lunathourai Kamei, Fakar Uddin Laskar, and ARNSU president Maichingkhuan Gangmei.
